One is a grievous bit where Jacob Kowalski ( Dan Fogler ) loses his fiancee because he did n’t get a loanword to start a bakery . Which is sad but at least that go out him loose to flow in love with one of the Goldstein sisters . The second show him fall in love .
That aspect has Porpentina Goldstein ( Katherine Waterston ) and Queenie Goldstein ( Alison Sudol ) singing the Ilvermorny school song together while Newt Scamander ( Eddie Redmayne ) and Jacob watch them . Here ’s how Yates account it :
There ’s another scene where Alison and Katherine [ Waterston ] sing the Ilvermorny song , the school song . I asked Alison would she indite it , and she wrote this beautiful Ilvermorny school song . And they babble out it together and the two son , Jacob and Newt , they ride there and they watch over . And as the daughter do this song , this ode to Ilvermorny , they slowly fall in love .
Both scenes sound quite lovely and give a sense of the human dramatic event at the center of this film . If this is what got cut , what stayed in well be as well .
