As the Android team suggest whenT - Mobile ’s G1 was launched , Exchange server reinforcement would have to come from third - party software developer . The first polarity of this is ContactsSync , a barren app distributed by net project - management package God Almighty Wrike . To be readable , this is n’t full Exchange synchronize , it ’s just a way to dump Exchange contacts to your G1 phone . Every meter you sync , whatever changes made to your contacts on your server get sent to the phone . It ’s not yet two - fashion — so no using your sound to upgrade your host - base contacts — but the developer say it ’ll add that functionality presently . I asked Wrike ’s Valerie Sinitskaya about calendar and email and she tell me that calendar syncing was qualified on Android ’s API — it ’s not yet available . As for email , she say , “ Users can access their electronic mail from Exchange using IMAP , so we do n’t have plan to sync e-mail . ” evenhandedly enough , though I do stillfear for Android , business - wise , if all we get is a bit-by-bit connection of apps , each doing a part of what a fluid Outlook could do .
