Haier ’s port is a wreck , but the basic mind here is a lot of playfulness : you touch on nothing . You do n’t move . You do n’t speak . There are n’t any gestures or commands whatsoever , like with every other idiotic chic TV hail mary — you just look at what you desire to do . If you catch one’s breath your gaze on , say , a television thumbnail , and then wink , that video will open . If you look at the bottom of the screen , you ’ll get volume dominance . Presumably epithelial duct surfing would work the same way .
OK , the problems are obvious : what if more than one person is watching telly ? What if my face begin trite from deliberately blinking so much ? It did . Will it be annoying to have to look aside from the center of the projection screen when you ’re take in TV ? Does that vote out the whole point of watch out TV ? Or undermine it ?
At the very least , the tech work : even without calibrating the Tobii eye - scanner , my educatee were able-bodied to activate buttons and sliders across Haier ’s set with zero encyclopedism curve .
