Eugene Levyhas lost his home to thewildfiresthat continue to ravage Los Angeles.
Levy evacuated his home in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and described what the scene was like to theL.A. Times.
“The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon,” he said. “I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark.”

As of Wedneday, Jan. 8, photos showed that all that remained of the actor’s property is a stone chimney and a charred row of hedges.
Many stars have been sharing updates on the status of their homes and their safety amid the ongoing fires.
PEOPLE reportedthatMiles and Keleigh Teller,Anna Faris,Adam Brody and Leighton Meester,Cobie Smulders and Taran Killamand others have also lost homes.
There are multiple fires currently burning throughout the Los Angeles area and officials have said the death toll is currently unknown as this is a “a fluid and evolving crisis.”
The largest Palisades Fire has burned more than 11,000 acres and was 0% contained as of Wednesday, Jan. 8, when It was also declared the most destructive in the history of Los Angeles County, according to theAssociated Press.
The fires have spread quickly in different parts of the city, and information is still evolving about the scale of the destruction and when they will start to be contained.
