I do , really ! Ned is more of a primary protagonist thanSansa , so it ’s easier to take his point of scene . Plus , he ’s a military man grown , withplenty of fighting and buttocks - kicking behind him , and he tries to protect his increasinglythreatened family , and most of all , he ’s honorable . Ned is a good homo in a badworld , and it ’s very , very prosperous to root for that . Meanwhile , in comparison , Sansa seems selfish for want to last out in King ’s landing place and be Queen ofWesteros , despite the danger it puts her family in .
The thing is , Sansa does n’t understand what ’s going on , because 1 ) she does n’t see any of the bullshit or danger going on behind thescenes , and 2 ) she ’s a tiddler . To her point of panorama , her dad occur out of nowhereand enounce , “ You know how I state you you ’d be Queen of Westeros ? By the death of season 3 of the show and the third Koran , Sansa is more politically savvy than Ned ever was . She ’s still young , and she’sstill powerless , but just survive in King ’s Landing with Joffrey , hisknights , and everything else is an telling acquisition . But she alsomanages Joffrey , as much as anyone without any political power whatsoever cando , which is beyond telling . I guess it was disappointing . Not overwhelmingly so , andit certainly had its moments , but it was n’t nearly as rarefied as I expected the50th anniversary special to be .
First of all , I did n’t really recall the Time War neededfixing . I liked the pathos that it bring in to the physician , because for me , theDoctor has an border — he ’s not quite human , he ’s willing to make some hardchoices , and if for one harebrained moment he decided to save the creation bybasically destroy his own mass and the Daleks , and then had to live withthe guilt , and he spent his time afterwards adjudicate desperately to avoidhaving to get in a place where he would have to make a similarly awful choice — that worked for me . But for Moffat , thedoctor is the guy who always does the right matter ; when the situation isnothing but bad selection the Doctor upends the rule and find a way . Since that’show I view Superman and why I ’m bitching constantly about Man of Steel , I can’treally envy him that . Maybe that ’s how a luck of British people view theDoctor — as a being of downright good . But that was not my belief of theDoctor .
However , regardless of how Moffat or I view the Doctor , Iwas super - excited by the idea of the War Doctor played by John Hurt . A Doctorthat had done things so ugly that the other incarnations had disavowed him . A regeneration that expend all its time fighting , not because he want to , butbecause he needed to , to deflect being forced to destroy his integral multitude — which , in the end , he could n’t avoid . I like the idea of the War Doctor evenbetter than if it had been the Eighth Doctor doing all this material , as Moffathad earlier hope ( but have sex Chris Eccleston would probably never go for ) .
And then the War Doctor shows up and he ’s just a mildlycranky old man . He essentially sits on the spare-time activity and is obnubilate by Ten andEleven ’s banter and sports meeting - cute ( which was nice , but barely something to base theentire 50th day of remembrance particular around ) . Ten and Eleven aren’tappalled by him , they do n’t dislike him , they do n’t take care like they feel especially shamed atthe things this retiring ego had to do . They all just kind of dick arounduntil the end , which , to be fairish , was jolly epic — but that was only the last10 minutes or so . Everything before it was decent , but I expected way more . Ithink Moffat waste the theme of the War Doctor , and I know he desolate John Hurt , who could have brought all the steel and determination and edge to the War doctor that I waslooking for .
As for how Capaldi ends up ? Good . He wo n’t replace DavidTennant or Matt Smith in anyone ’s hearts , but no one has any ill , either . But the estimable thing about Capaldi is all the net videos wherepeople use his Doctor Who footage and replace the dialogue with hisprofanity - laden lines from The Thick of It . Totally worth it .

Well , Castle is n’t a major genre dealership , but it ’s a pretty major idiot box series . It has115 episodes , it ’s one of the 20 or so most - watched series on TV , it’ssyndicated on TNT — it ’s big , humanity .
