An inside germ has unveiled what ’s supposed to be a production timeline for the motion-picture show . It ’s plausible enough , but we have no way of knowing whether or not it ’s real , so take it with gobs and cumulation of common salt . In any outcome , here ’s what the timeline says :
Filming will go for a whopping 10 months from 22 August , 2011 to April 2012
billet - production will scat from May to November 2012 in time for a December 2012 dismission
Filming will take off at a Smallville location , with forty days of filming for sequences dubbed “ Homecoming ” , “ Future Discussion ” , “ Ship Discovery ” , and “ Funeral ”
Filming then moves to the principal location , which is presumably the Metropolis stand - in
Main location filming will go from mid - September to January 2012
There ’s then a month and a one-half of cinematography in Europe , Asia , and the Middle East ( which , yes , we ’re aware is part of Asia , but that ’s what the timeline say )
Interior and set shoots will wind up off shoot at a UK studio
Further update let in clarification that , though Smallville is the first localization , that does n’t necessarily reverberate where the Smallville scenes fit into the movie
The Metropolis stand - in might be Chicago and not the rumored selection of Vancouver , explaining why The Dark Knight Rises is supposedly moving to Detroit
The foreign cinematography locations are for a Clark Kent montage that include scenes set ( but obviously not shot ) in Iraq and Afghanistan
