As a devotee of Groundhog Day as well as slasher horror film , I find this movie is very intriguing . It takes a familiar musical genre ( horror ) and fits it into a anatomical structure ( sidereal day repetition ) unparalleled to that genre , hopefully crap something fresh and new .
As for the trailer itself , one matter I do n’t like is that it seems to already expend some major hints to the grampus ’s individuality . This is the first trailer ! It ’s a great conception , do we really require to start trying to spoil stuff ? Hopefully this is just a crimson herring . On the other hand , I do like that it hint at consequences the lead character , played by Jessica Rothe , present for living and live over this daytime . opine if Phil Connors had snowballing intimate issues in Groundhog Day ? It would ’ve been a very unlike movie .
Oh , and I really care the masquerade party chosen for the killer . Being trail by a giant baby is absolutely terrifying .
