Hilary Duffis celebrating another milestone for sonLuca Cruz!
TheHow I Met Your Fatheractress, 36, celebrated her eldest child’s 12th birthday with a sweetInstagram postshowing a collection of videos that she captured of Luca over the past year.
The sentimental video (set toBeyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em”) kicks off with a shot of Luca — whom Duff shares with ex-husbandMike Comrie— at a table, then him making a funny face and sticking his tongue out while in a car. Duff makes an appearance too, smiling in some sunglasses as she wraps an arm around him.
Several important moments and accomplishments from Luca’s life are also captured in the montage, including him doing a high jump, playing basketball, acting on stage during a school play, learning how to play the piano and winning a medal for sports.
She also included clips of him during major holidays — dressed as a clown for Halloween, unwrapping presents for Christmas and skating in front of the Eiffel Tower while on vacation in Paris.
The video also shows some sweet family scenes with Luca and his little sister,Banks Violet, 5, at the kitchen counter and even dancing with what appeared to be bowls on their heads. In one shot, he even could be seen carrying his other little sister,Mae James, 2, on a red carpet. There were also family moments with Duff and her husband,Matthew Koma, included.
“Another year for the books Luca!!!! Happy 12 ✨ my golden joy!!!! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘,” Duff captioned the video.

The 12-year-old will soon have another sibling to make new memories with. TheYoungeractress announced that she was expecting her fourth child in aChristmas card, which featured a photo of herself cradling her growing belly.
“So much for silent nights. Love, the Duff-Bair-Comrie Crew,” the front of the card read, while the back added, “Buckle up Buttercups, we’re adding one more to this crazy bunch!”

The actress previously shared during a 2021 interview with PEOPLE that sheloved the “mayhem” of raising three kidsand the busy work that came with it.
“I love when everyone’s full of energy and the house is buzzing. You never know what the day is going to bring or what your kid’s going to say,” she told PEOPLE. “We’re in the thick of it, and it feels good.”
