Everyone ’s been waiting forthe Cliq , Motorola ’s desperate - but - anticipated dive into Androidery , and we were ready to be excited about it . Problem is , you would n’t have known from the launch , which was somewhat misconduct .

As far as muff go , confusing people about your new product ’s name order reasonably high-pitched , and that ’s exactly what they did — we were there , and at first we think the sound was called the Blur , then the Click , then the Cliq , as did passably much the entire cyberspace . Exhibit A , above .
Lance Ulanoff at PCMag take exceptional crime to the whole show , and went so far as to pen atakedown pieceon the entire outcome :
The tonic did convey Motorola ’s sense of urging . In fact , the whole event felt rushed . Motorola never stopped long enough to give us a practiced look at the CLIQ . It was like the Cliffs Notes version of a product launch . Major production points were glossed over or never explained . I do n’t conceive anyone specifically say that the big touch sensation screen earpiece was blot out a QWERTY keyboard . Instead , you just kind of notice it as the intro lead along .
Implied QWERTY ! This is one of the most roughshod hatchet jobs I ’ve ever seen inflicted on a non - human , but it ’s plausibly deserved . Which is a shame , because the Cliq plow out to be apretty swell little phone , actually ! [ PCMag ]
