There ’s so much violence in movies that it does n’t even matter any longer .
masses get hurt , nameless bad Guy get killed , cities get destroyed and we ’re just like , “ Oh whatever . ” Superheroes fight down superheroes and we do n’t even care . That ’s because most movies are numbingly uncreative when it follow to moving picture violence . Most photographic film just use violence for the shock and the spectacle ( which can still be fun to view when done well ) , while moving picture by Shane Black — Kiss Kiss Bang Bang , The Nice Guys — use fierceness awkwardly which is much more brilliant .
Obviously , not every movie can use sticky violence . We do n’t want to see Captain America and Iron Man in a silly smack fight . We want to see panoplied suits and shields get break . But asNerdwriterexplains in the video below , Shane Black ’s brand of awkward movie ferocity is more originative and naturalistic , and it accomplishes more than a normal picture show ’s fighting aspect because it move beyond the violence . We get more background on a character . We express mirth . We learn more about the story . There are layers beyond just the violence .
