Jack Schlossbergwants his followers to know that he didn’tjustpass the bar on his first try.
The 31-year-old son ofCaroline Kennedyandonly grandson of President John F. Kennedypassed the New York state bar exam in February 2023, but in a new social media post on Dec. 5, he elaborated on his impressive results.
“A lot of people ask me if I passed the bar exam on the first try,” Schlossberg wrote onX(formerly Twitter). “I did and I scored 332 in New York state which may have put me in the top 1% of test takers.”
He claimed that while New York doesn’t release the official percentile of those who pass the bar, “based on historical data it’s not unlikely that I was in the 99th percentile.”
According to a graph from theNational Conference of Bar Examiners, only 1.1% of test takers from the February 2023 exam received a score of 330 and above, which would suggest that Schlossberg is roughly around the 99th percentile nationally if he received a score of 332.

Schlossberg isn’t the first in his famous family to pass the bar. His mother, now the U.S. ambassador to Australia, passed the New York bar exam in 1989. His uncle,John F. Kennedy Jr.,famously failed the New York bar exam twicebefore ultimately passing on his third try in 1990.
Back in October 2023,Schlossberg spoke with PEOPLEabout the accomplishment, saying at the time, “It feels great. Thank you.”

Schlossberg is the only son of Caroline and Edwin Schlossberg, who are alsoparents to daughters Tatiana and Rose. While Schlossberg never lived at the same time as his famous grandfather, he did praise the late president in a speech at the Profile in Courage award ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in October 2023.
“Courage was the quality that he admired most, and he believed that at its best, America was a country that did things not because they were easy, but because they were hard,” he said at the time. “Well tonight we’re celebrating the political courage of five representatives who put the national interest above their own political interest to do what was right.”

Schlossberg has also been vocal in hisdissenting political opinionsfrom his cousinRobert F. Kennedy Jr., specifically calling out RFK Jr.’s presidential candidacy back in July 2023 before he pulled out of the race.
