After Fox, 36, sharedInstagramphotos on Sunday showing herself and her fiancéMachine Gun Kellydressed as characters fromQuentin Tarantino’sKill Billmovies, and tagging SAG-AFTRA in the photo’s caption, Walter, 60, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to criticize Fox.

“What a rebel. Keep posturing for stupid s—, pretty lady,” Walterwrote on social mediain response to a post showing Fox’s costume. “Meanwhile we’ll be working 10 hours a day - unpaid - to get basic contract earners a fair deal.”

“PS-the post responded [to] members questions. No one cares about kids’ costumes,” she added, noting that the union is only concerned with the actions of “high pros at fancy parties. Like Megan.”

Some SAG members, includingRyan Reynolds, appeared to jokingly criticize the union’s advisory notice after its release on Oct. 19. Reynolds, 47,wrote on X: “I look forward to screaming ‘scab’ at my 8 year old all night. She’s not in the union but she needs to learn.”

The union has since deleted its Oct. 19 advisory regarding Halloween costumes and issued an update on Oct. 20 to clarify those guidelines “do not apply to anyone’s kids,” perThe Hollywood Reporter. Other actors who criticized the advisory included former SAG president Melissa Gilbert, who wrote onInstagramthat the advisory made the union “look like a joke” amid a stall in negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) just one week before.

On X over the weekend, Walter also aimed criticism at Reynolds as she responded to another SAG-AFTRA member, who opined that Fox’s Halloween post indicated a “complete lack of respect” for the union’s mission during the strike.

“I bet she likes turnaround rules and relocation fees and our ongoing battle for AI protections & streaming residuals… The union did that,” Walterposted. “But sure - s— on them over nonsense. This goes for Ryan Reynolds too.”

SAG’s negotiating committeeannouncedon Monday that negotiations with the AMPTP would continue Tuesday.

“While talks over the past week have been productive, we remain far apart on key issues,” the statement read, urging actors to continue to appear at picket lines and share support for the strike publicly.
