Meri Brownand her new love have gone their separate ways.
Just over a month after theSister Wivesstar, 53,went public with her relationship with Amos— who she recently called the “good looking guy” she’d been dating since October in an Instagram post on her birthday — Brown revealed that her relationship has ended.
She shared thenewson Instagram on Saturday as she reflected on the “hard truths” and “difficult conversations” she had to have “last week.”
“Life is a series of experiences. How you handle them and what you learn from them is who you become from them. It takes courage to face difficult truths, yet it’s imperative in order to remain authentic to yourself and your commitment to personal growth,” she began the lengthy caption.
“Just because I care a lot about someone, and him me, does not equate to full compatibility for a long-term relationship. When we have different dreams and aspirations, different communication styles and values, different visions for our futures, and these things aren’t aligning, it’s then that we need to make hard decisions,” Brown continued. “It’s a strange and sad thing to care about someone so deeply, to look beyond their past, because heaven knows we all have one, to see the kindness in their eyes and their giving heart, and still know that a life long relationship isn’t in the cards for you.”

Addressing her relationship with Amos directly, Brown wrote, “I honor and care about the past four months, who I spent it with, and what I learned about myself through it. I know what’s important to me in a relationship, and I’m confident in myself while I’m single as well.”
The businesswoman added that she’s choosing to “look into my future with the hope of new opportunities” in the wake of the separation. “This is a time in my life to prioritize me, my well-being, and my personal evolution, and I look forward to more adventures and experiences on this journey we call life!”
Meri — whosplit from her husband of 32 years,Kody Brown, last December — also admitted that she’s open to exploring the dating world again following her first relationship since the end of her marriage. “When the time is right for me, I will dip my toes into this process again,” she added.

When Meri firstintroducedAmos to her Instagram followers last month, she described him as “not 6 foot 6, nor is he a pilot, but he loves Christmas almost as much as I do, and we laugh a lot together, both of which are important elements to a relationship!”
The pair had been “enjoying the last few months of dating and getting to know each other” before Meri felt like she wanted to share the news publicly.
“As I’ve considered when and how I wanted to share this fun news and share him with the world (jk, not really sharing, I’m keeping him to myself 😉),” she said. “I knew I wanted to celebrate my birthday in a special way and let you celebrate this with me!”
Days later, the pair went on Instagram Live as part of Meri’s weekly “Fridays with Friends” series and her BFF Jen Sullivanquizzed the couple on each other as they shared more about their romance.
She also raved about how Amos brings a smile to her face.
“He just looks at me and he’s got, like, the sweetest eyes. And when he smiles, they crinkle. They’re happy and they just make me happy,” she said. “Also, if I’m like stressed out, like, he did this the other day. I was stressed out and he’s like, ‘Just stop. Let me hold you for a second. Just breathe.’ It was so sweet! He just cared. And also, he just fills up my Yeti all the time. … He just walks around and does little things. He just notices.”
Closing out the Instagram Live, Meri said the pair are “happy” and “like each other a lot.”
